Texas A&M University-Central Texas: Partnering with Xitracs™ since 2012
Texas A&M University-Central Texas has partnered with Xitracs™ since 2012. Most recently, the institution successfully completed and submitted its 5th Year SACSCOC Interim Report, including the Focused Report and Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). Throughout this process, the ongoing support from their dedicated Xitracs™ Customer Liaison, was helpful in ensuring a smooth and efficient submission.
Additionally, by maintaining their Xitracs Credentials™ module every semester, the university was able to publish their faculty roster with ease, significantly reducing the time and effort typically required for such tasks. This streamlined approach allowed them to focus more on strategic initiatives, enhancing their ability to meet critical accreditation and compliance needs.
We are confident that with the continued collaboration between Texas A&M University-Central Texas and Xitracs™, the institution will continue to build on these successes and accomplish even greater milestones in the future.
Appalachian State University: Using Xitracs™ for Accreditation and Assessment Reporting
Appalachian State University has been using Xitracs™ for accreditation and assessment reporting for over 14 years. This 4-year public institution located in Boone, North Carolina has successfully utilized the Standards and Credentials modules for two reaffirmations and one fifth-year interim report to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). The university utilizes the Programs module for annual continuous improvement reporting for all academic programs, as well as administrative and educational support units. In addition, they have creatively leveraged the Planning module to organize, house, and publish student learning outcomes to a website for over 150 undergraduate programs and over 80 graduate programs.
The University of Tennessee Health Science Center: Streamlining the Accreditation Process with Xitracs™
The University of South Florida (USF): Using Xitracs™ to Facilitate the Management and Reporting of Accreditation and Assessment Activities
The University of South Florida (USF) is a high-impact global research university with three campuses across the Tampa Bay region. USF offers more than 180 degree programs to over 50,000 students and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). To maintain its accreditation and demonstrate its commitment to continuous improvement, USF uses Xitracs™ to facilitate the management and reporting of accreditation and assessment activities. USF’s use of Xitracs™ will be instrumental in its upcoming accreditation reaffirmation in 2025.
Brunswick Community College (BCC): Successful Launch of New Program Effectiveness Reporting
Established in 1979, Brunswick Community College (BCC) in North Carolina has 1,877 students, 6,257 continuing education registrations, and a student-faculty ratio of 13:1. Programs include 31 Degrees, 13 Diplomas, 32 Certificates, and 31 High School Pathways. The office of Institutional Planning & Research (IPR) leads the assessment and planning processes for the College, which involves annual reporting from program faculty on student learning outcomes and program effectiveness. With the goal of streamlining these key activities, the IPR office created goals and a timeline for the launch of Xitracs™ across the campus. BCC, working closely with their Xitracs™ implementation consultant, realized their goals for launch in less than two months! In one platform, all programs can align their annual goals with the Directives of the institutional strategic plan, and also analyze either Learning Evidence or Service Evidence. The ‘analysis loop’ includes spelling out expected targets, identifying benchmark data, collection and analysis of data, and articulating actions for improvement, revision, and/or maintenance. Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ): Using Xitracs™ to Organize Accreditation Process
Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ), which serves a diverse student body of nearly 40,000 students, has been a Xitracs™ customer through two successful decennial SACSCOC reaffirmations and a fifth-year interim report. The Xitracs™ platform has been instrumental in aiding FSCJ’s development of standard narratives and organization of thousands of pieces of credentialing evidence documents. FSCJ ranks among the top 50 most affordable public, four-year institutions in the nation, and 11th in the nation among public, four-year colleges and universities granting associate degrees. FSCJ is an Achieving the Dream (ATD) Leader College, an Aspen Top 150, and was named a 2023-24 Military Friendly® School with a “Gold” ranking.
Southern University Law Center - Leveraging Xitracs™ For Accreditation Success
Southern University Law Center (SULC) holds the distinction as one of the few institutions of higher education in the United States accredited by both the American Bar Association (ABA) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools – Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). In its journey for initial SACSCOC accreditation, through reaffirmation, and QEP development and reporting, SULC chose Xitracs as its partner to manage the myriad of tasks, narratives, and body of supporting documentation required to succeed in today’s rigorous evidence-based accreditation environment. James Madison University: Enhancing a Culture of Operational Efficiency with Xitracs™ for over a Decade
A customer since 2010, James Madison University, a 4-year public institution located in Harrisonburg, Virginia, has been actively enhancing its operational efficiency. The university’s partnership with Xitracs has facilitated seamless teamwork and contributed to the streamlining of accreditation submissions over the years, leveraging Xitracs’ Standards module. JMU successfully used Xitracs for its recent SACSCOC submission, showcasing the platform’s user-friendliness and impressive publication features.
Among the standout features, Xitracs’ link check function played a pivotal role by meticulously reviewing countless evidence links. This valuable tool promptly highlighted any links that required further attention or completion, ensuring comprehensive accuracy. In addition, the submission process was further expedited and optimized by JMU’s utilization of Xitracs’ accreditation template. This tailor-made template enables easy customization of essential elements of the submission, such as: a welcome message, instructions, institution branding, and simple access to ‘Other Material.’ The unique Reviewer Portal gives reviewers an alternative access to the submission and its evidence.

Florida Polytechnic University: Florida Polytechnic University: How Xitracs Supported a Cross-Institutional Alignment of Operational Goals
Florida Poly—the only state university in Florida dedicated exclusively to STEM education—has recently expanded its use of Xitracs™ to support cross-institutional alignment of operational goals. “Advancing to Excellence,” their five-year strategic plan that culminates this year, frames the identification and achievement of annual objectives set out by all administrative units. The staff of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (OIRE) recently launched the use of Xitracs Planning to coordinate and simplify this process on a University-wide scale, showing the ways in which Florida Poly has upheld its goals of “degree alignment, student success, economic development, and affordability and efficiency.”
Northeast Texas Community College: Innovative Strategic Planning
NTCC created a Xitracs™ Goal-based Plan to capture progress on their 2019-2024 institutional strategic plan. Using an innovative approach, the office of Institutional Effectiveness & Research populates the data and other aspects of each goal, while the Board of Trustees members take responsibility for adding a year-end summary. The results are then shared with the campus community and key stakeholders.
Coastal Alabama Community College: Capturing Institution-wide Outcomes and Objectives with Xitracs™
Coastal Alabama Community College is a public two-year college that serves more than 10,000 students and offers the convenience of 9 campuses and 5 sites. Xitracs™ has been used to support the College’s SACSCOC accreditation reporting efforts—at the heart of which is ensuring that students are achieving learning outcomes set by their academic programs of study. Currently, expanded plans are underway to also capture in Xitracs™ administrative unit operational goals and the College’s new strategic plan. In combination, a cross-institutional picture of goal alignment will be easily accessible for analysis, feedback, and assurance of continuous improvement.
McNeese State University: Transformation of Planning and Assessment Processes
McNeese transformed its planning and assessment processes amid institution-wide leadership changes and reaffirmation of accreditation. The launch of Xitracs™ resulted in campus-wide participation, increased use of planning and assessment information, and mature conversations about continuous improvement. Xitracs™ is used to organize and track strategic planning, academic program and administrative unit planning, accreditation reporting, and faculty credentials.
University of North Georgia: Closing the Loop on Program Learning Outcomes
The University of North Georgia has successfully incorporated Xitracs™ into its processes to assess student learning outcomes for its academic programs. Faculty, Assessment Coordinators, and Institutional Effectiveness staff have saved time and valuable resources by making the transition to direct entry of student scores. They are currently working to further this efficiency by capturing data from their D2L Brightspace LMS. Xitracs™ lets individuals working on assessment and accreditation pull outcomes data directly into annual program assessment reports. This more efficient process across five campuses allows for more accurate and robust analysis of the data and incorporation of results into annual improvements.
